2021 Omega Speedmaster Professional Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary
Following on from the 45th Anniversary Silver Snoopy Award that was so oversold it became an instant hit! Well this one, the 50th is no different. Collectors alike have been eagerly awaiting the release of this piece.
1970 saw the year that Omega was awarded the 'Silver Snoopy Award' for its role in the Apollo 13 mission dubbed the 'Successful Failure' ensuring that the mission went down in history after an explosion in transit to the moon. This made it impossible for the NASA astronauts to land on the moon and frantic efforts were made for their safe return - Without the Speedmaster, the critical 14 second burn might not have been possible with such precision.

Case Back: A unique case back for sure - An animated Snoopy in his Command and Service Module (CSM) is shown on a magical hand, which rotates when the chronograph function is used. Behind, an Earth disc rotates once per minute in sync with the watch’s small seconds hand
