This Speedmaster has been fitted with a movement that dates to 1970 but it was not actually made for this watch according to the archives - an archive cannot be issued.
It was not uncommon for 861 movements to be destined for another watch that took the 861. Omega have confirmed that this happened only when movements were no longer used for a specific reference, therefore repurposed for another watch that would accomodate the 861, like the Speedmaster. Records were not updated to reflect this.
