1962/3 Omega Speedmaster Pre-Professional CK2998-6
A stunning pre-professional CK2998 from 1962/3.
The CK2998 was the first Omega to be worn in space when Wally Schirra wore his personal watch in 1962 aboard 'Sigma 7' as part of the Murcury programme. 2 years later the Speedmaster would be certified by NASA for all manned missions, and we all know where that went....

Case: Stainless steel, shows signs of wear consistent with age and has been polished in the past
Bezel: Correct DON 90 bezel with diagonal dot under 70.
Bracelet: Comes fitted on a generic leather strap.
Dial: Correct applied logo pre-professional dial with low SWISS MADE.
Hands: Correct alpha hands with baton chrono. Chrono has possibly been changed but is period correct.
Crystal: Generic plexi crystal fitted
Case Diameter: 39.5mm
Movement: Omega cal 321 which is keeping good time with 18m serial
Case Back: Correct double bevel case back with Hippocampus still visible and stamped 2998-6
